Yesterday, the lawyer of the Egyptian Commission for Rights and Freedoms (ECRF) filed a report to the Public Prosecutor to investigate the disappearance of Oqba Hashad in an unknown location, to reveal his place of detention, and to demand his release. The report, no 698887/2024, was submitted to the technical office.

It is worth mentioning that Oqba was granted release on 20th February, but the prosecution appealed the decision. However, the court rejected the appeal and upheld his release.
This situation raises serious concerns about the re-disappearance and recycling of Oqba again, especially since Oqba suffers from a permanent disability, having had a leg amputated since his childhood. Due to his disability, he cannot move normally and wears a prosthetic limb.
