انتهاكات في زنزانة المهندس احمد عبدالله

قام عنصرين من قطاع الأمن الوطني و الشرطة مساء الثلاثاء ١٦ اغسطس ٢٠١٦ بإجراء تفتيش عنيف للزنزانة المحتجز بها المهندس أحمد عبد الله رئيس مجلس أمناء المفوضية المصرية للحقوق و الحريات في قسم أول القاهرة الجديدة حيث تم دفعه و التعدي عليه بلكمات أثناء تفتيش الزنزانة و إلقاء طعام المحتجزين بالزنزانة على الارض. كما تم مصادرة جميع كتب المهندس أحمد عبد الله و منها كتب في مجال الهندسة و روايات و كتب فلسفية مثل رواية “١٩٨٤” لجورج أوريل و “العقد الاجتماعي” لجان جاك روسو و “ميتافيزيقيا الأخلاق” لايمانويل كانط و روايات أخرى لفرانز كافكا. كان قد تم ادخال هذه الكتب للمهندس أحمد عبد الله بموافقة القسم المحتجز به. 
و سوف يتم اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية حيال هذا الانتهاك لحقوقه كمتهم.
يذكر أن المهندس أحمد عبد الله محبوس احتياطيا منذ ٢٥ ابريل ٢٠١٦ على ذمة قضية تتعلق برفض تنازل مصر عن سيادتها على جزيرتي تيران و صنافير للسعودية. و يمثل يوم ٣١ اغسطس ٢٠١٦ مجددا امام محكمة جنايات لنظر تجديد حبسه احتياطيا.
In the evening of Tuesday 16 August 2016, two elements of National Security Agency and the police searched the cell where Engineer Ahmad Abdallah, board director of the Egyptian Commission for Rights and Freedoms, at the New Cairo Police Station 1. He was punched and shoved during the rough search of the cell and detainees’ food was thrown on the floor. All of his books were confiscated including books in the field of engineering and philosophical books such as George Orwell’s “1984”, Jean-Jacque Rousseau’s “The Social Contract”, Emmanuel Kant’s “Metaphysics of Morals”, and novels by Franz Kafka. The books were allowed in to Engineer Ahmad Abdallah by the police at the police station where he is detained. Legal action will be taken against this violation of his rights as a detainee.
Engineer Ahmad Abdallah has been detained in preventive detention since 25 April 2016 on the back of a case in relation to the refusal of Egypt’s surrender of its sovereignty over Tiran and Sanafair Islands to Saudi Arabia. He is due to appear next in front of a criminal court on 31 August 2016 to examine his preventive detention.
